Sunset over Canyonlands
Canyonlands National Park, Utah
This was my favorite shot of the day. Landscape photography in places like Canyonlands is very challenging. It’s easy for all of the different rock formations to blend together in the photography and loose all of the detail and depth. Light and shadow play a huge roll in bringing out those layers and creating the depth that you see in real life. I love how the setting sun and the partial overcast created different lighting effects on the different formations and really bring out the structures that make Canyonlands so fascinating.
